Happy Birthday NASA

On this day in 1958 President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed into law the creation of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, as the unified civilian agency to take the lead in space-based activities.  Previously, the U.S. rocketry programs were all military.  So this makes NASA the predecessor to Starfleet.  To celebrate this birthday, here is a video made from NASA footage taken by cameras on a booster rocket for the Space Shuttle.  Edited and with real sound enhanced at Skywalker Ranch, it shows a real space flight, from launch to the booster's reentry and splashdown.  This is real and amazing.
