R.I.P. 2010: Science Fiction
Among those in the science fiction world we lost in 2010 are these four, involved in several of the greatest s/f films of all time: Leslie Nielsen in Forbidden Planet, Patricia Neal in The Day the Earth Stood Still, Kevin McCarthy in Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Irving Kirschner, director of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Their work has already become immortal in global culture. May they rest in peace.

This has been a sad year for SF fans. I didn't know all these people had died. Thanks for the list.
