Could you possibly hate Republicans any more than you do?
I doubt it. You attribute all evil to them and acknowledge no wrong-doing that democrats could possibly do.
I suppose only those that ascribe to the socialist utopia or bow at the altar of the Clintons are the only pure ones on the planet.
There was no vemon in your sentiments, but you are nonetheless elitest and are clearly among those that think that there are people on the Radical Right and everyone else.
No Radical Left? No reasonable Christian?
You talk about how right on Lucas was to denounce those who see the world in Black and White -- and yet you do a pretty good job painting in precisely those 2 colors.

The myopia of the Left is truly profound.
Even those who did not like Episode 3, applaud the beautiful artistry of how Lucas created a metaphor for the Bush administration. Interesting how that's the only thing that so many critics seem to gush over. ... Now -- is it really an intellectually honest artistic commentary -- or an opportunity to spit out some political commentary.
It's intellecual dishonesty.
How about leave art to art and politics to politics. Star Wars was better when it talked about tall concepts, and spared us the political commentary.
Look at it this way -- before, Lucas' work embraced everyone. Now he slaps at his republican fan base. (Yeah, we're here. Those of you on the Left can't claim a monopoly on Star Wars. It is far more mythic than to be owned by one body of political thought.)

I don't hate Republicans, and the words Republican and Democrat don't appear in this essay. Nor do they appear in the film.
